At the Refugee Therapy Centre, we rely heavily on the work of our volunteers. By giving your time, knowledge and skills you give a valuable contribution to relieving the needs of asylum seekers and refugees.
There are many reasons why people volunteer:
- to meet people
- to gain new skills and experiences
- to help out in your local community
- to gain experience that could help you to obtain paid work
We value the contribution of volunteers in many areas of our work, including bi-lingual support work, administration, fundraising, IT and mentoring (the latter is only open to UCL medical students).
We also welcome community members' involvement in fundraising, for example through organizing events, introducing potential donors and help promote the work of the Centre.
