This is a 1 year course for people who would like to learn about working with refugees and asylum seekers in the community. People already volunteering or working in the community will also be welcomed.

The Introductory Course on Counselling Refugees offers you the opportunity to use your own experiences to help others. We are looking for refugees and asylum-seekers from diverse backgrounds to share their experiences and learn from each other, in working with refugees and asylum seekers.

Candidates who successfully complete this one year introductory course may be accepted for a Diploma/MA Qualifying Counselling/psychotherapy Training Course, which will enable them to work towards being accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
